And so this year nears its end...

After that quick one I did the other day, I figured I might as well extend it in a more thought out bit of writing, so here goes...

This has been quite a year. I managed to graduate from high school. That was a tough deal. School was always pretty easy for me. That is until you run out of steam and just want it to end as fast as possible. On top of school, though, I managed to get out there a little more, socially speaking. I met some interesting people, and some people I wish never came into my life, but that's how life goes, doesn't it? You encounter new people every day. Some pass in and out of your life with near no effect, and others make such an impact that it may change parts of you as a person.

I've managed to meet a great guy who I've been with for several months already. It's amazing how fast time flies by. I won't spill my personal life on to the internet, so I'll just end with something like this: I am legitimately happy. There are things that bring me down, but when you ask, "Sarah, are you happy?" I can only say yes.

Before the school year ended I decided that it would not be the best choice for me to immediately go to college or university. That I was going to wait a year, if not less. I've been taking my time off to (lazily) look for work, and see what kind of work fields might interest me and make a good career for me. It's a little tough, to be honest. So I've been bored a lot lately. Why not do art with my free time? That's a good question... I have been trying to. I have to have a handful of pieces by next week completed. Woo... I need all the luck I can get.

Anyway. Things I'm looking forward to.... Well I'm looking forward to my birthday (sort of). It's only 19, but it's one more year forward so I can't complain. Christmas, I get to spend time with everyone all at once, which is always nice seeing as half my family is on the other side of town and I don't see them all too often. But yeah. This should be a good end of the year. I'm looking forward to starting next year, just to see what interesting things it brings.

Senior Year

My final year of high school has started and it's going well so far. I have some great classes, in my opinion, and some not so great ones.

I am enrolled in a program called Senior Inquiry which takes up two consecutive periods a lday, every day. It's a really interesting class that combines philosophy and astrophysics. In the syllabus it is titled "Exploring Einstein's Universe." Even I can't explain what it's all about. All I can say is that it's a really interesting and fulfilling class. I also must mention, with passing the class I also receive 15 transferable college credits. Pretty awesome.

My other classes are Humor & Culture which encompasses exactly what the name of the class says. We look at humor, and culture. Quite interesting.

Also in math. Math is math. Won't go into it.

And then I am a teacher's assistant for the German teacher I had these last three years. I had to drop fourth year German in order to do my senior inquiry class. A sad loss, but I'm still immersed in the language in simply being in that class.

And my sixth and final class is International Perspectives which has all the foreign exchange students in the class and we discuss things and yeah. Pretty boring, to be honest.

So, the senior inquiry class is the hardest class I have. I mean, it is college level so you have to take that into consideration.

Overall, the year is going good so far.

Almost a quarter of the way through the year. How fast time goes.

The only reason I came back.

Well I had to.

But still.

So for me, I will be home in 27ish hours.

Jee.

But that doesn't include the 12-13 hours in a plane.
